Troubleshooting PHP-Nuke

The followings steps should be taken when troubleshooting PHP-Nuke after an install.

1. Download conntest.php and analyze.php from NukeCops, upload them to the same directory as config.php
2. Direct your browser to each of the files mentioned above
3. Make sure you have uploaded ALL the files from the HTML directory in the tarball in BINARY mode.
4. Check to make sure all files are CHMOD'ed to 666, and directories to 777
5. Check to make sure that config.php has the right database name, username, password, prefix and Database Type

If you've checked all these settings, go here and follow the instructions and common problem suggestions mentioned there.
If you're still having problems after that, then go to the NukeCops forums and search them to see if anybody else has had a similar problem. If not, then feel free to post a new topic and one of the de facto nuke support team will help you as best we can
